I am a full-time freelance journalist and editor who reports and writes news and features for a variety of newspapers, websites, magazines and nonprofits.
I’m also very thankful to have gone to school in Barrington. When I attended (as is still the case today), District 220 schools were competitive and reputable. Hard work was necessary. Sports, fine arts and extracurricular activities were some of the best in the area and community pride was abundant!
I moved to Barrington 20 years ago, choosing the Barrington area mainly for the quality of the schools. We both come from families of educators and public servants and so we recognize that there is a direct correlation between community support and the excellence of a public school district.
We have lived here for almost twelve years, and I thank God that my wife and I made the right decision to settle in this area. The people of Barrington live up to the proverbial village responsibility to pitch in and help raise all of our children.
